So calling a guy in an Overcoat a detective is a 常套 Hackneyed way of seeing things, but it works. We see a Dog in a Long coat and we thing McGruff the crime dog.

4) [Katsuo] 7-10-2007(3): A hackney cab driver thinks his cab is too hackneyed so for a change he has it pulled along by a hairy St. Bernard.
