Note: this kanji is used in the sense of an “excerpt”, not of an extract of some substance.

4) [kirigirisu] 6-12-2008(34): Breaking a few fingers is an excellent way to extract information.

5) [jabberwockychortles] 12-4-2009(23): You've heard about that monkey who put his hand in the candy jar and grabbed so many pieces that he couldn't extract his hand? This Kanji is a lesson in how to extract, because if you put your fingers in the jar and only grab a few, then you will be able to extract them easily.
