3) [uberclimber] 25-10-2010(62): An employee lost a finger in a workplace accident, and sued the company for damages. (Don't confuse with harm (#1551 害). 損 (そん) : loss, disadvantage; 損なう (そこなう) : to harm, to hurt, to injure, to damage, to fail in doing; 損失 (そんしつ) : loss.

4) [mcfate] 11-9-2007(20): An employee who takes the "five-finger discount" (i.e., steals) can damage the business.

5) [zwarte_kat] 28-4-2007(15): In the industrial age employees always damaged their fingers. That's where the word damage comes from: when they damaged their fingers, they shouted: DAMN AGE!!! , hence the word damage.
