On-Yomi: ドウ — Kun-Yomi: ほら
Koohii stories:
1) [nolusu] 12-7-2007(297): All the animals in the den share the same water.
2) [uberclimber] 13-1-2011(38): "Den" and "cave" also make me think of a monk's cell. Monks take vows of silence and fast. So a den is where you'd find nothing but water (to drink) and a monk. 洞 ほら cave, den, grotto; 洞窟 どうくつ cave; 洞察 どうさつ discernment; insight.
3) [sethimayne] 16-7-2009(35): Animals always build their den in the same place - beside the water.
4) [Raichu] 8-4-2008(21): All those caves were formed by water, and… they all look exactly the same to me!
5) [Katsuo] 25-2-2009(16): There's a secret den in the monastery where some of the monks hold water-pistol fights.
