Koohii stories:
1) [dihutenosa] 15-8-2008(27): [+brose] The cormorant was historically used in Japan and China to catch fish. The fisher would use some rope or something to tie its throat so that it could only swallow small fish. If it caught something too big to swallow, it would take it back to the fisher's boat and the fisher would take it out. This particular cormorant is going after bigger and bigger prey - but one day it goes too far, and tries to swallow your little brother! Imagine trying to yank your brother out of its throat.
2) [mantixen] 15-3-2007(22): The cormorant is a bird you use like your younger brother to fetch things for you.
3) [kapalama] 6-9-2011(1): 鵜飼 =鵜飼い=鵜養, cormorant (#2832 鵜) う … Parts: 弟 , 鳥 … Story: U, I got an idea: instead of Cormorant Fishing ( 鵜飼い ), I'll use my Disciples弟子 to catch 'Birds". And by birds, I mean women.
4) [cameron_en] 1-12-2008(1): When my younger brother said "I love U", he was actually talking about the bird, not me. 鵜 【う】.
5) [brose] 1-6-2007(1): Check this out….it explains how the birds were used for fishing in Japan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cormorant テイ ダイ う.
